Dream creature

I had a WEIRD dream last night. Well, it was pretty normal actualy apart from the fact there were these shell things with tentacles underneath floating about the place. My brother was giving me a lift to work and they were all in his car, in the footwell. One of their tentacles grabbed my hand when i picked one up. Was pretty rank. Anyway i asked my mum what they were and how come they can float, and she said they were "ghosts of..." something. I cant remember what. Was pretty weird. Whats also weird is they look familiar somehow. Maybe i'v just taken them from somewhere else.

Anyway..i drew what they looked like so let me know if you recognise them. They were all different sizes but most were about the size of a swede and looked like this...

Shakespeare

Just been taking some stuff off my old computer, heres a little shakespeare character i drew and vectorised. with a little touch of animation.

Embedding Flash

Cool...I've just figured out how to embed swf files onto my blog. I made this effect by making a simple button rollover animation. Then copy and pasting it loads. I'll try and get some more stuff up soon.

Escandaloso

I scanned my head for fun. Heres the result.
I rolled my head as the light moved, I dont have a massive elephant man head.

Expressions

Right now im drawing a load of facial expressions on cartoons for a new project at work.
I cant really divulge too many details but its gonna be a character based voting system where you choose a reaction that represents how u felt rather than just adding a comment or rating.

I also came across this article while researching different expressions. Its pretty interesting... CLICK HERE - its about wether facial expressions are universal

Dont Party New Years Eve Manchester

Welcome

Hello and welcome to The Gog Blog...

Here i'll be documenting my work as a Graphic, and multimedia Designer.

My name's Peter Walker, Im from a small town in Essex called Epping (Twinned with Eppingen, Germany) . Epping is in Epping Forest, which is famous for large stag beetles, Dick Turpins hideout, and Queen Boadicea. Its also where the book Rats by James Herbert is set. Its ALSO where Saskia in Eastenders was buried... so its pretty exciting, so exciting i left.

I moved to Leeds in 2005 and studied Multimedia technology, from which i graduated earlier this year with a 2-1 Bsc hons degree. Since then i've been working for a media company in Leeds, and living in Old Trafford in Manchester. Yes.

I have been involved in a number of projects with Dont Panic Manchester and the club night 'Whatever the Weather'. Im currently in the process of creating a website to promote my design work, so everything will be up there when thats complete. Until then ill be putting bits and pieces up here.

My interests include drawing, flash animation, little bit of coding, dancing, christmas games, sleeping, hot and cold meats, a range of condiments, etc.

I'm not sure exactly the purpose of the blog, or why people would want to look at it, but i'm making one anyway because its all the rage. Feel free to leave comments on my work, and ill try and keep it up to date with my findings and progress.

Cheers

Pete
